SpotAuditor is asterisk password recovery software. It is asterisk password revealer, uncover and viewer. The software allows to recover, unmask and show hidden password behind asterisks.
Many applications under Windows system, like WS_FTP, Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and others, allow a convenient storage of frequently used passwords. The typed password is not displayed on the screen, and instead of the real password, you see a sequence of asterisk ( ***** ) characters. You have to select "Asterisk Password Uncover" radio button and press "Start Audit" to start reveal the asterisk passwords, to stop password recovery you have to select other radio button. Whenever a new window containing a password box is opened, Asterisk Password Uncover automatically reveals the password inside the password-box, and add a record to passwords list in the main window of SpotAuditor. The program also displays the date/time that the password was revealed, the window title, the name of the application that contains the revealed password box, and the executable file of the application.
